Connecting Israel, Imperialism & the Climate Crisis (Online Mini-Series 2)

March 19 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Session 2: ‘Connecting Israel, Imperialism & the Climate Crisis’
The second workshop of the Mini-Series aims to deepen knowledge on imperialism as a framework to analyse  the connection between Palestine and the climate crisis. The session will dive into the relationship between imperialism and resource extraction in Palestine and the wider Arab region. It will also touch upon other contexts to show how global imperialism aims to profit from over-consuming natural resources, and how this both fuels the climate crisis and shapes the contemporary situation in Palestine today.
  • These sessions prioritise interactivity and invites participants to engage in close reading of texts and images in group discussions, and are interspersed with lecturing.
  • This workshop is suitable for people who are involved in the climate justice movement and would like to learn more about how it applies to the context of Palestine, and/or for people who are involved in the Palestinian liberation movement and would like to learn more about how climate justice is central to it.
