Makan Educational Facilitator Training Programme (Online)

Purpose Of The Facilitator Programme:
- Support Makan’s Programmes team by co-facilitating our educational trainings and workshops on an ad hoc basis alongside a member of our staff
- Gain transferable knowledge and skills on how to facilitate workshops to support the wider liberation movement
- Build networks with people who are engaging with the Palestine liberation movement
Criteria That We Will Be Looking For:
This programme is suitable for those:
- Who are familiar with Makan’s work and have previously attended our workshops or trainings (online or in-person)
- Who have experience in education. Experience can mean you have studied education or have facilitated workshops for various audiences (e.g. grassroots organisations, unions, student groups)
- Arabic is not required but desirable
- Strong knowledge on Palestine
- Preferable – Experience working on wider social justice issues (e.g. climate justice, disability, gender and sexuality)
Setting Expectations For The Application Process
- Deadline to submit an application is Tuesday 25 February 6.00pm London time
- Makan will reach out to you by with next steps by Wednesday 26 February
- If you’re application is successful, we’ll ask you for a 30 minute zoom call in the time between your acceptance and the facilitator training
- Please reserve Sunday 16 March from 11.00am – 1.30pm for the online 2.5 hour Facilitator Programme Training
- Following the Facilitator Programme Training, you will be invited on an ad-hoc basis to support Makan by co-delivering our educational trainings based on your availability
Payment For Facilitators:
- You will be compensated for each workshop/training you facilitate with Makan
- Any transport costs incurred to facilitate an in-person training will be reimbursed by Makan
